This Privacy Policy describes how Stores POS("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use our Point of Sale (POS) mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the essential data required to provide reliable point-of-sale functionality, inventory management, hardware connectivity, and offline data synchronization.
A. Device & Identification Data
- Hardware & Device Identifiers: Unique device hardware IDs (such as Android ID, hardware serial, or generated UUIDs) and device name/model.
- Purpose: To enforce software license verification, track active terminal device quotas, and maintain security gating.
B. Store & Transaction Data
- Sales & Billing Records: Invoices, product masters, inventory counts, audit logs, and sales returns created on the POS.
- Operator Data: Operator username and transaction logs.
- Storage: Data is primarily saved locally on your device in an encrypted/local database and synchronized with your dedicated cloud server.
C. Device Permissions & Sensor Data
Used solely for barcode and QR code scanning to identify products and process sales. We do not record, store, or transmit camera images or videos.
Used exclusively to discover and connect to Bluetooth thermal receipt printers. (Note: Android OS requires location permission to perform Bluetooth scanning; we do not track or log your physical location).
Used for creating, importing, and exporting local database backups, product master CSV files, and sales audit reports (PDF/Excel).
Used to perform background synchronization of offline transactions and database backups without data loss.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information strictly for business operation and app functionality:
- To process checkout transactions, bill printing, and inventory management.
- To synchronize offline sales data with the cloud server when network connectivity is restored.
- To validate software licenses and active device quotas.
- To generate store analytics, audit trails, and financial reports.
3. Data Storage & Security
Offline-First Storage
All transaction data is stored locally on your device using a structured database.
Secure Transmission
Data synchronized with cloud servers is encrypted in transit using standard HTTPS/TLS protocols.
Credentials Security
Sensitive auth tokens and configuration settings are securely stored using device-level secure storage (FlutterSecureStorage).
No Third-Party Selling
We do not sell, rent, or share your transaction data, customer records, or store statistics with third-party advertisers or data brokers.
4. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not share your personal or store data with third parties, except in the following limited circumstances:
- Your Designated Server: Synchronizing data with your store’s configured backend cloud service.
- Legal Compliance: If required by applicable laws, regulations, or legal processes.
5. Data Retention & Account / Device Deletion
Local Data Removal
You can clear local app data at any time via your device's Android Settings (Settings > Apps > Stores POS > Storage > Clear Data).
Cloud Data & License Revocation
Store administrators may request complete deletion of cloud-synced transaction records or device licensing profiles by contacting us at the support email provided below.
6. Children's Privacy
Stores POS is a commercial point-of-sale business application and is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the updated policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
